Madden on EA Sports is a very popular game, but it is a love/hate game. Some love it, others hate it. In this review I will be explaining all the cool little things in Madden and why you should love it. Madden was first released by EA Sports October 24,1997, and it was the first way to play “3D” football on Nintendo 64. The newest released game is Madden 24, which was released August 18th, 2023. Madden is a kid-friendly game with an age recommendation of 13+.

In Madden, there are 4 different game modes to play. There is online head-to-head, where I can play with my friends online. Next, there is a Quick play mode where I can play with up to 4 players on the same account, same TV, and same couch. Next there is a franchise mode, where I can become the coach and either draft my own team or if I don’t want to draft I can just start at preseason as the coach on whatever team I pick and play against the computer. Another cool mode is Madden ultimate team mode. This is where I can start with a not-great team and play games with the not-great team until I win games. When you win games then you start to get packs for better players, better jerseys, and many more things. The last cool Madden mode is you can create your own player. That means I can make him the same height as me, play like me, and look like me.  

The second cool thing about Madden, is there are many different sounds. One sound there is, is the announcers will announce your game as the game goes on. Another sound there is, music will play at the loading screen, so everyone won’t just be staring at the game with no sound. The last sound that I think is cool is that the players make sounds too. There are sounds if they score, get all excited and yell and if they get tackled they make an oof sound; which I think is really cool because players make real sounds in a video game of football.  

The third great thing that I like about the game of Madden 24 is the updated graphics from Madden 23. The graphics in Madden 24 are so much different than 23. One thing that I this is cool about Madden 24 is that while playing a game I can see when someone is “hot” because their X Factor is Flaming (an X-Factor is given to the best players in the NFL and if the player completes a task while you are playing, they get a little upgrade because of the X-Factor). Another cool graphic in the game is when you are loading into a game, it will ask me what skill level I want to play at and what stadium I want to play at.

The final thing that I think is cool about Madden is, unlike lots of other games, Madden comes out with a new game every year. The next game (Madden 25) is expected to come out in August and it didn't have an exact date, it just said a Friday in August and I am very excited. In conclusion, I believe Madden is a very popular game and many people enjoy it. If you are one of those people that enjoy the game of Madden, I am right there with you. But if you are a person that has never tried Madden, I highly recommend it to you because of the many different game modes, The cool different sounds, and the great graphics.
