Fight for Parkland
Flashes of light shine on your hair,
And your blue eyes sparkle with fear
As the sound of a gun echoes through the air
Letting us know that he is really here.
I hold my breath as footsteps pass by
The fire alarm lights the room
But we all know that it is a lie
And to go outside would spell our doom.
Tears fall from your eyes as another friend dies
Your heart feels like it could burst
As the door opens and everyone shies
Away, not wanting to be first.
The police are here and we will be alright,
But we know now that we must fight.
