Homework
Grey, testy fluffs of cotton circling ‘round
My head with tears that drip and fall away.
Winds lifting up my body from the ground
With hands of death who slowly turn my way.
Oh, why did fate give me such fatal end?
When all I’ve been is nice and kind to it.
It’s haunting me and never makes amend;
And brings me gloom and anger down the pit.
Oh once were times when I was happy then,
When I was free and very wild like wind.
And now are piles of dead trees in my den
Who wait to punish me as if I sinned:
This moment is the one I dreaded most,
When homework knocks and I become the host.

Instead of writing a sonnet about love, hate or, jelousy like Shakespeare; I decided to write one about how I dread homework. This sonnet is just a funny interpretation of how every high school student feels about their homework.
