In the Dark
In this place alone I sit
With no sunlight shining in
Trapped inside this lonely pit
I forget how long it's been
Happiness awaits behind the door
A great black wall guards the way
Heavy chains hold me to the floor
I long to see the light of day
The world goes on without me
Oblivious to my existence
In my head I scream, "Set me free!"
Yet I show no sign of resistence
All have ignored my fiery spark
And now it grows dim as I sit here in the dark
