A summer day
I wake up and you make my day
When I look up at you, shining so bright
A smile on my face and all I can say
Is today everything just might go right.
I get ready for a day at the lake
Wearing sandals, shorts, and a pink tank top,
Get in the car, ready to go and bake.
Sitting at the top of the hill, my whole world stops
Looking down at the beautiful lake, I smile
Thinking about summer and how great it will be
Bomb fires, tanning, relaxing, swimming, running a mile
A chance to meet the one, maybe it’s meant to be.
I smile thinking about how life is great,
And I am thankful for every summer day!
