Love Will Soon Prevail
A gorgeous vase of flowers we portray,
But with cut flowers you must always part.
Our love, it blossomed forth in proud display.
Condemned we were despite out righteous start.
We shine! The sun in morning is so bright
As dazzling as the lily and the rose.
But this is quickly lost inside the night;
The lily wilts. Our love, it slowly goes.
We tried so hard to make this beauty last.
Our toil and labor I do not regret.
Our love is not forever; it is past,
Yet sure as spring returns I won’t forget.
My love, this thing we have will surely fail.
Move on in life for love will soon prevail.
