Holding on (Shakespearean Sonnet)
Together we will make it through this pain
Despite the challenges that face us now,
The forces that drive most couples insane
Before they even make their lovers’ vow,
Old enemies like time that tear apart
New starts that make young hearts flutter and fly
When pierced by Cupid’s long and lethal dart.
Some will survive the wound, and some will die.
Our love can make new galaxies collide
And form new planets where there lives no loss.
You are the one with whom I can confide
There is no distance that we cannot cross.
Despite it all I know we’ll make it through.
No one can stop the love I feel for you.
