Out of consciousness 

Escape from the binds

Take flight with exhilaration 

A slight page turn 

Words flood the brain 

Screaming, begging to be of some regard

And oh how they yearn 

Battles, tragedy, stories, life 

Hoping to pique your desire 

Entrancing you until the last word 

The last spark of the fire 

Worlds collapse as it shuts 

An ending you begged not to come

Taking a part of it with you 

Leaving you distraught in the smut

Being dragged back to the binds

Of tedious reality

The story lost in your thoughts and the dilemmas of the world 

Back to the empty space in your mind

Where it was once alive.
