The Tax on the Poor

Poor people struggle to care for themselves
So when tax day arrives, the rich pay more
This make us think taxes are based on wealth
But there is a tax that preys on the poor
Most think the lottery is just a game
An attempt to get lucky and win cash
But the odds of winning it are insane
So any smart person would surely pass
But poor people are very desperate
Their education on low odds is torn
And the rich don’t need to buy a ticket
They won the lottery when they were born
The money might fund government support
But why tax poor people for being poor
