The Truth of Silence
I have a question, could you answer, please?
Can this be allowed, or should it be banned?
To have children silenced, despite their quiet pleas.
Forced to be mute, all as if it were planned.
I will ask you once again, one more time.
Must children be like this, in need of strong?
Such prejudice and unjustness, a crime.
Do you agree, or am I, again, wrong?
I will answer for you, to make my case.
Being forced to shut up makes life
Not worth living, even for wealth or grace.
Kids have a voice for a reason, not strife.
Muteness and quiet can’t all be the base.
Let us speak for all, punishment we brace.
