From the Sonnet Collection: Sonnet 2
For last night I saw my first shooting star,
A whimsical dance through the cloaked night stream,
Head tilted, the night an open boudoir,
Dreamers scold, “A wish, set the next day’s theme”.
Wide eyed, such firsts I did not believe in
But morning sun shown on a day-lit star
To prove me amiss, it gifted a grin
You, a beau for the time, my heart ajar.
Through a lopsided lens, how lucky I am
A dreamer with a peppered sanity.
