My Hero
I loved him more than you could ever know.
I only wish he was with me right now.
“You are my hero” he would tell me so.
Is there a way to bring him back somehow?
Always with a smile upon his face ,
he would never show that he was hurting.
The living room, that was always our place.
Was I hiding my feelings? Averting?
I could never forget his sweet smile.
“Special man” says all who knew him.
My love for Poppy goes on for miles.
Though I know he's gone my life is not grim.
Do I have any regrets? No. Zero.
I just hope he knows he is my hero.
