Rainy day
On a rainy day I like to stare at each drop
that falls upon my window and picture them
each as little worlds slowly falling to their end
at the bottom of the window.
The drops at the higher points of my window are
prosperous and in their beginnings of life, each species
in it still finding their way to walk
as the drop begins to fall, the creatures inside of it
are advancing and beginning to thrive on their own
and ever so often the drops stop that means
the advancement in everything becomes a standstill
the creatures all content with their lives,
then suddenly the drop begins to move once more
this time the life on the drop begins to show signs of
the end, the creatures realize that life is ending and as
the drop splashes at the bottom the process repeats itself
and all in 10 seconds
