There once was a bunny named Grace,
She had white fluffy fur,
And jumped around the farm all day,
Until a man took her,

“Oh no, sir, don’t take me away,
Just take me back home, please,
Here I am alone and frightened,
It’s cold and I might freeze,”

Instead, he laughed at her pleading,
And shoved her in a truck,
“Why don’t worry little bunny,
Looks like you’re out of luck,”

“Oh no, sir, don’t take me away,
Just take me back home, please,
Here I am alone and frightened,
It’s cold and I might freeze,”

They got to a laboratory,
And put her in a cage,
Poked in needles and chemicals,
And went on to the next stage,

But the man still made his money,
So he didn’t complain,
He just picked up more animals,
And inflicted more pain.

The author's comments:

I was inspired by the unfair cruelty that animals have to go through everyday. Animals do not have a voice, and I hope that through this ballad, I can paint a picture of how horrible animal cruelty is, and convince others to go cruelty free. Animals are organisms, and they are not ours to experiment on for our personal use.
