"I'm Fine"
“I'm Fine” what a common lie
We say it when we don’t want to remind ourselves of the pain
We say it to tell ourselves that feeling that way is ok
Misery, pain, mourning,
Common feelings with a common lie.
I'm not fine
Every breath hurts
Every memory hurts
I want her back
To hug her one last time
I want her back
To talk to her again
I'm not fine
This hurt is so unbearable
But, I'm fine
No need to worry about me
Tomorrow's a new day
A new day of pain
A new day of grief
I'm fine
I get lost in my mind
Consuming the pain
Consuming the regret
I’m fine
I’ll hold back the blade
Tomorrow’s a new day
A new day to distract the pain with another
I’m fine
I’ll hold back the tears
Tomorrow’s a new day
A new day to drown myself in grief
I’m fine
I don’t need a hero
If I did
There would be one right here
I look, and I look, and I look
There's just me and darkness
Darkness has assigned itself as my comfort

I've been feeling really depressed and sad about losing someone close to me a little over a year ago. I wrote this as something hopefully not to make readers feel depressed I wrote it to have those take action in this awareness to be their "hero" that they need. Darkness is a scary thing so, i encourage you to be the light that others need.
