Break the Silence
This pain is too much to carry on my shoulders
A country, a world burdened with hate
I see it, I hear it
Their mouths spewing judgement
Hypocritical minds unscathed
But the pot must keep churning
to melt their uncultivated views
There is no beauty in this silence
I must scream out
This leader does not define me
My compassion does, my community does
We must give birth to change
Stand together in solidarity to break down
these walls built from hate
Make this stigma disappear
My bones ache for the oppressed
THEY ache for acceptance
Accept different, accept the struggle, accept humanity
