“Chain him! Enslave him!” Society yells.
“Free him, love him.” Humanity whispers.

He walks alone with broken shoes on broken soles
Children dressed as young adults, point and shove
The walls laugh, “How dare you be your own!”
He wonders, “How does this world have no love?”
Crying tears and falling stars
He looks ahead to the next sun
Onward they crawl across the sky
A new day begins with the brightest one
The smile he wears breaks the clouds
He is his own, in each way and right
They can yell all they want
He has the new day just in sight.
