Why I Fell

he
made me a cup of hot coco
-marshmallows included-
slapped duct tape on my scars
like that was supposed to help anything
hugs,
although virtual,
were readily available
massaging
my
back,
easing
tension
I
never
saw
build
he
was a hero- a knight-
sword and shield in hand
slaying dragons
to keep his little sisters safe
How did I get a guy like that?
I'm nothing special,
yet,
he takes off his armor
to kiss me
And how can I not fall again
