Definition of Love

Broken glass
Broken hearts
Screams echo through the house
Is this what love is?
Fighting
And crying
And violence?
That’s what my parents taught me at least
They set the example.
They proved to me that love is terrible
Love is full of regret and pain
Love isn’t butterflies and rainbows
Love isn’t fun and laughter
Love is not a good thing.
Love is the worst thing that could ever happen to you
Be careful with your heart
Someone will tear it apart.
