I Feel So Near to Shakespeare
I feel so near
to shakespeare,
as I’m lying on the floor.
We both had a heart,
though some say tart,
and breathe the air around us.
I can’t help but wonder
is my mind like thunder,
that wreaks havoc upon the heavens?
If I could think,
what’d be the brink,
the end of all imagination?
I feel so near
to shakespeare,
as the walls move about me.
Did he ever feel like this,
lost and sadly amiss?
I wish I had the answer.
The days feel so long,
while years are wrong,
and put all out of place.
I belong in the fog,
a tireless morn bog,
where I can rest forever.
