Stormy Sea of Savagery
School terrified her
and went by in a blur.
She felt unsure,
making friends became rare.
The thought made her feel imprisoned,
revealing everything she envisioned.
Doing well in school made her stressed,
and sometimes she obsessed.
School strangled her throat and left her bruised,
sore to the touch, purple and abused.
She drowned in her tears and achievements,
leading her to therapist treatments.
She tasted the dark, deep blue water,
that revealed no rest to its endless horror.
Smelling her fear,
she heard the shark say, “Oh, my dear”.
At last, she found her way through the endless labyrinth,
and swam away from her past and filth.
School no longer felt terrifying,
as she turned to writing.
Before the blindness captured her,
but now she traveled the world and became an explorer.
Breaking away from the piranha-infested stream,
led her to her dream.
