Reality Interwoven
When I see hope forever lost
I see the ice and all its frost
Blinding cold. Smothering fog
This was my life all along.
The sun shone, Chasing away shadow
Like my dreams and aspirations-so narrow
Desires I fight everyday
In my life, I have no say.
Blizzard, icy hope, I thought
But still, in vain I fought
Striving, yet unable to see
What was there right in front of me
It came with time, I realised today
A stupid, naïve mistake I made
What I see isn’t hope at all
It’s a future lived, already gone.
