Ladder to the Moon
I've made a ladder
With rungs of diamond and steel, I am
Invincible
But they're bent
I was carrying the weight of the world
On my shoulders
And I was too heavy to
Climb
But I'll reach the moon
Where there's no gravity to
Weigh me down
And my burdens become as light as
A feather
But five thousand pounds of feathers?
It's all the same,
I wish I had kept my feet on
The ground
But no, I was wishing on stars.
