Mostly Empty Space
vastly unadorned, the universe
expands
with light years between billions
of stars
Can you imagine the distance?
where nothingness
grows
and becomes greater and greater while the stars,
mostly empty space,
as well -
they die out
and their black holes eat up the
rest of what's out
there
Don't you feel so alone?
by the time you could reach the next
galaxy,
the dinosaurs are
extinct
the earth has flooded
a savior has been born and
died
and your grandchildren's
grandchildren
are mere statistics in someone's history textbook
who perished long ago in the
Armageddon
