Crooked
It's more common to find crooked lines
In otherwise flawless places,
If you look at the rings in a tree and not
The straight horizon line
That separates
Our struggles from an endless potential called "sky",
The ground,
The ground is cut like a bleeding wrist,
With roads and valleys and
Gaping holes
In the landscape of my heart
Where earthquakes shake the foundation of
My trust,
and these lies we tell ourselves
Beg to be told,
Lest we realize just how broken
We really are.
