Space
There are many types of space:
Outer space,
Personal space,
Positive and negative space
But I don't know what to call this kind of space
The space you told me you needed
And that I agreed to give you
What kind of space is that?
Is it the space you no longer take up in my bed,
The space my arms are supposed to wrap around
but which now is filled with only emptiness?
Or is it the spaces of free time I have now,
Time I had carefully parceled aside for you and me,
and which I now spend alone in suffocating solitude?
Maybe it is the empty space in my heart
which twists and writhes in aching agony
from missing you
And so I hope this space I am giving you is all you wanted it to be,
Because I hate all these spaces you have left behind for me.
