A Quick Forever
I remember the time the leaves turned brown. I turned a new age and accepted my birthday crown. I was so excited to grow, that I didn't remember the effects of life that were soon to show. My father sang to me "Happy Birthday" and I examined him. Tired, worn, and full of his life's sin. My eyes began to water of the things that finally dawned on me. I viewed his years as a gift for humanity. That I was fortunate to have him give my tears a shoulder. That when I grew, he grew even older. Everyday, someone wakes up just to die, and everyday someone celebrates their life. So I'm slow to take life for granted. But quick to hope to make my Life enchanted.
