The day I met green
The day I met green
I said to him, I will always care for you
There was nothing more comforting than his presence
His cool fresh breeze and tall palm trees swaying to the beat of the wind
I admire him when he cries; everything grows
The looks of the hibiscus and the way it glows
The day I met green
I seemed like I was the only one who cared
They cut down his beauty and pollutes his air
The just don’t care
The day I met green
I told him, “I will teach them how to love you”
And if they do there is so much that you can do
You are the sun that rises in the east and sets in the west
The trees that grows which gives me oxygen to say, “Yes I am bless”
I pray that one day they will see your worth
Instead of intoxicating you and increasing your hurt.
