What Better Looks Like
I want to smile without hidden sorrow,
I want to live until tomorrow,
Happiness would bring me closer to my family, friends, and God,
I want to feel accepted and not looked at as odd.
Life would be better if I felt secure with my identity,
Life would be better if I wanted to be a living entity.
I want to play and laugh with my friends and siblings and friends once more,
I want happiness and love to win the war.
Happiness would smell like roses and look like a beautiful aurora,
Happiness would look like I didn’t unleash the box of Pandora.
Better looks like life seems bearable,
Better looks like I can have fun and everything isn’t terrible.
Life would be good if I could get along with my folks,
Life would be better if I didn’t think my friendships were a hoax.
I just want to feel happiness and not despair,
I just need to feel good and have a breath of fresh air.
I hope to be better and enjoy life,
I wish to let go of my pain and strife,
I want to let go of what and whom I dislike,
This is what better looks like.
