Winter
Has held the buds of spring
In its icy fist
For long enough.
The chirping of the robin
Echoes in my memory.
Barely there
It has survived the harsh months
Of frigid gales
And icy walkways.
Hopefully
Spring will break free
Soon enough.
And with it
Will come new life
And new hope.

I was hoping spring would come, and staring out my window. Then, this poem just came to me. 8) Hope you guys like it!
