No Voice
The lights are bright, feet glued to the ground, i can’t move, all eyes are on me, the pressure’s intense, slowly, calmly, I lift my head to look about the room. I look at their faces..remorse, remorse and misery, tears and wails, every soul is in pain, every spirit, diminished. I oen my mouth to question all their cries. Why..why, why? I’m shouting now… and young man, weary looking, steps forward with tears streaming down his pale face. He lists a head towards me, I shriek in fear, his eyes, so dark, demeaning, his touch, it burns within my core, shrieks still erupting from my throat, or so I thought.. My voice, it weakens, because I now know that this is not my voice, these are my thoughts, no one can hear me…
