Once Upon a Time
Once upon a time,
A little girl fell,
Like a shooting star,
Falling from heaven,
Lighting up the sky,
As she streaked by.
The little angel,
Had lost her belief,
Her will to hope,
The air she breathed.
She fell from grace,
A lost little soul,
Alone amongst the clouds,
Crashing to Earth,
Trailed by ashes.
She didn’t make a sound,
The harsh landing,
Couldn’t break her more,
For she had already shattered,
Held together,
With misplace glue.
The little angel,
Looked to the stars,
From her earthy perch;
Wondering vaguely,
If she was missed.
There would be no respite,
Not from her fear,
That she had been
Forgotten,
Left behind,
Erased.
Once upon a time,
The little girl loved the stars,
To dance and glitter with them.
Now…
She watched from below,
Unable to dream,
Of what was and could have been.
