A Christmas Poem
Angels hanging in the tree
Three wise men on bended knee
A pageant in front of city hall
Decorative lights displayed for all
No one knows that far beyond the wrapped up gifts and pretty bows
In a stable slightly larger than your dinner table
Lies a baby wrapped in rags
By the door are no packed bags
For the trip far from their hometown
For Christmas no one's coming down
To see this poor poor family
Even though they may be lonely
Having each other only
In their eyes not a tear
In their hearts not a fear
For in a box filled with day
Where baby chicks like to play
Sleeps a creature greater than anything
Sleeps the baby King
Jesus Christ is His name
Nothing more is left to say.
