Words
They can tear apart,
they can draw together
They can burn, freeze, sting
They can blossom, electrify, save a life.
They are beautiful and terrifying,
gorgeous and treacherous,
causing tears for two completely different reasons.
Words are complicated and wonderfully simple.
A word is a verbal smile, a ray of sunshine,
a bright spring blossom and a sparkling raindrop.
It can kill; it can hurt,
like fire licking life from the soul.
Words are simply…words.
It all depends on how you use them.
