I Too Am Human

I, too, am human
They tell me to stand in the shadows
When I try to succeed
But I strive
And I live on
And I still believe
Tomorrow,
I’ll be more successful than others
When hey try to put me down
They will finally
Learn to respect me
“You can sit with us”
Then.
Besides,
They’ll find out who I am
And be ashamed-
I, too, am human
