Pairs
Sunlight.
The first touches of marvelous warmth glance off your features, creating light.
And shadow.
Good.
And bad.
Ying.
And Yang.
Why must there always be pairs?
Why can't I make you happy, without also making you incredibly sad?
How can I think you are so beautiful, when all that you see is bad?
My heart aches with love for you.
Isn't love supposed to feel good?
Nice?
Pretty?
Rainbows and Unicorns?
Instead it stabs at me.
Again, never failing, pairs.
Love-oh, such love
for you.
Hate-damned hate
for me.
Will it never end?
Will they always come together?
Sisters, for all eternity?
Or is life the way I've heard:
"Better to feel nothing at all"?
Hope not.
