My heart whispers your name
My head says no
My hand writes your name
My head says no
My body screams your name
I can’t let you go
My eyes search for your face
Cry when you don’t show
My heart leap when you wave
My feet won’t go
My mind analyzes the trace
Of feelings you show
My eyes hold your gaze
How could you not know?
My arms beg you to stay
You don’t let go
Blood rushes through my veins
There’s a lump in my throat
I know I’ll have to wait
My heart holds onto hope
