Catch Me When I Fall
You sat in a jar
Of new pennies
My friends
The ones I seldom had time for
But the ones I felt guilty for
Because I knew
Even though I could never chill with them
They'd always have my back
You were the only one
I ran into your arms
Folded in tears
My world dark, bleak, depressing groans
You picked me up and wrapped me
In a warm blanket
You sent that letter
That one that told him
How much of a jerk he was
In words I could never use
In words that were cold truth
In words that made me cry
With happiness
You told me to come to you
You said, "I'll always be there"
You're my big sister
My wing woman
The one who doesn't put up with crap
From anyone else
The one who tells it like it is
The one who stands up for what she believes in
The one I love truly
And for forever.
