A Cry in the Dark
I’m trapped by invisible walls
Tied down by unseen ropes
It’s like quicksand never ceases to drag me down
I’m in an ocean far too deep
And I’m drowning
There’s no sliver lining
No light at the end of the tunnel
No rainbow
No happily ever after
I’m desperate
Calling out to anyone who will listen
To save me before it’s too late
All that’s left is a cry in the dark.
