A crystal ball
The blur of purple shade flickering with stars
Beams with unchangeable stories and forgotten memories
Traveling into the time that sculpted my present
The moments I want to change, the moments I want to live again
A glimpse into the little girl so blissfully unaware
Of the precious gems impregnated in her hair
And all the wrong paths she chose
And all the wrong lights she let guide her.
The crystalline ball opens upwards
Into unwritten stories and unknown potential
The aftermath of this dreadfully written present
And due to the twisted fate of life
A Future where my existence is lost
The ending of the never-ending war I kept fighting
and the transient life whose grief is brief.

Hey! I'm Ananya, and I'm 15 years old. I think we all once in a while reminisce about the past and wonder about the future and this simple poem is basically a representation of that sentiment, the heart shaped sunglasses with which you look at the past, the everlasting regret behind those terrible decisions and the inherent human fear of what the future holds. A simple crystal ball where you get a glimpse into your past and future.
