A Bright Light
Trapped alone by myself,
Covered in darkness
Darkness with no ends, darker than a black hole
I saw a light, bright like the sun
Faster than sound itself
And that light showed me my path
and my future become clearer
That light was my mother
And she pulled me out of that darkness
She told me things I didn’t understand about myself
And as I learned
I followed the path I was told to walk on
And that path made a new me.
