Farewell,

Dear former friend

This is to

Our friendship

which was

a carnation.

In the beginning,

It was

red,

reddish-pink,

pinkish-purple,

fascinating,

and lovely.

But, I think I might have been

colour blind.

'Cause later that spring

I approached

the garden

and picked up

the Carnation

to feel

its spicy fragrance.

But, I fertilised

the Carnation regularly

and made it grow in

well-drained soil,

while allowing it to dry

in between

watering it well.

Long story short,

I gave it all the care

so that it

would blossom

and

last long.

Little did I realise,

that I was taking care of

a poisonous flower

And when my French Beau,

tried to get me

to the right path,

all I did was argue saying,

"The petals are edible,

It's just the leaves that are

poisonous with

a LOW toxicity rate."

I thought he were jealous

Because I

did not

spend much time

with him

as I was busy taking care

of the Carnation

But I realised I was colour blind.

And he was right,

"Carnations are

bad luck, babe."

Because during the end

of Summer,

My Carnation died.

Maybe the sun

restored my sight

as I realised,

the Carnation wasn't pink.

It was

yellow,

yellowish-white,

not pink,

not purple,

not even close to that range,

not red like the

blood corpuscles,

just yellow

like the blood plasma.

Why didn't I

listen to him?

How disgraced would I feel

if I meet him right now?

All I can do

is sit on

the bathroom floor

with the dead yellow carnation

and eat my heart out,

'Cause how can I grow

another flower

as I left

the other flowers I had

for that Clove Pink,

which wasn't pink after all.

I guess I was

too naive and stupid

to give away

every other beautiful flower

just for that

Carnation.

@IzzyMossie137, thank you so much...🤝🏻🤝🏻🤝🏻
In my case, my carnation (my general exams) withered and well, now I am free for sometime as I don't have to take care of it anymore...😜😜😜

“The apple doesn't fall far from the tree." I guess that means we're just products of whoever made us and we don't have much control. The thing is, when people use that phrase, they ignore the most critical part: the falling. Within the logic of that saying, the apple falls every single time. Not falling isn't an option. So, if the apple has to fall, the most important question in my mind is what happens to it upon hitting the ground? Does it touch down with barely a scratch? Or does it smash on impact? Two vastly different fates. When you think about it, who cares about its proximity to the tree or what type of tree spawned it? What really makes all the difference, then, is how we land.”<br /> ― Val Emmich, Dear Evan Hansen

@afra wow.... youve done amazing. I really have no words this time.
