Favorite Quote:
"If I had a world of my own, everything would be nonsense. Nothing would be what it is, because everything would be what it isn't. And contrary wise, what is, it wouldn't be. And what it wouldn't be, it would. You see?"<br /> - Alice In Wonderland

Dark skies stand next to bright days.

My home is a railroad beyond that mile.

Your laughter calms the violence that I enraged,

And the difference about us is your smile.

In every dark moment of my life,

You brought me warmth in your arms.

Your bright days were spent laying in bed

And yet you always brought me out of harm.

Without you I am empty,

And you cried as you told me not to leave.

Your bright days were broken without me,

Then I stopped as you tugged on my sleeve.

Today I know my red string is on your finger.

My soul mate and destiny until we are done.

You balance my world and I complement yours,

And we will keep going as long as we are one.

I am your yin and you are my yang.

This life is incomplete without us here.

I bring the negative to show you the reality,

And you bring the positive to show me cheer.

Will you grow old with me?

The author's comments:

This piece is a poem about my first relationship that is still going. Nobody would have thought the two of us would get together because we were that different. If anything, we both like the same category of things like video games and sleeping, but I'm more of a rock in the mud and he's like a naked bird. I made him go to school and talk more than what was just necessary. He made me feel less angry about things and taught me to rely on others. This poem was for him because he's the bright yang to my dark yin.
