My Escape
The second my dirty, white shoes grip the court, I know I belong
Raging sounds of whistles blowing and balls smacking the ground
Coaches screaming wicked motivation
Parents cheering their kids on

All the stress in the world I feel
It just disappears in this moment
I am where I was always meant to be
I stand motionless peering through the net
The whistle blows
And I go
