The Lifeless Lot

Sad, withering, drooping leaves
No sign of vibrant life
Burned-out, smoldering cigarette
Existence cut off by a lethal knife
Gritty, dusty gravel
Lost its pebbly feel
Squeaky, vulnerable tire
Lost its free will
Tired, willowing branches
Weepy, brown reeds
They need someone to desperately help
Someone to plant new seeds
No good Samaritan has come to help them
They've met their horrible fate
The empty lot lies lifeless and cold
Oh, what a deplorable state
