Fleeting
Prospecting,
Drifting through tangible time
Dwelling in thought
Lost in this rhyme.
Seek and you shall find
Ask and you shall learn
Quell time’s curiosity
Watch the whole world burn.
Wait on a someday
A day of the future gone by
Writhing in curiosity
Living for what is a lie.
Fighting unbreakable shackles
Locked away in the dark
Losing a little more
Kept from Hope’s faint spark.
Dwell unthinking
In a place so far away
Losing your voice
Losing the words you had to say.
Chasing permanence
It flits just beyond reach
Longing for meaning
A trust that cannot be breached.
Seek the truth, bring it to me
Love lost, found again
The miracle of misery
The joy of pain
Open your eyes
The world is what you wish it to be
There always will be happiness
If that is what you want to see.
Look beyond drawn our horizons
Reach beyond even the unexpected
Find meaning within no boundaries
Find your moment in your present.
Fight the future you can never control
Look beyond the things that define you
Live for today, live for now
Love for today, love for now
Love who you have to believe in
Live in the present, not in the future past
Seek who you know yourself to be
Live, and you'll find happiness at last.
