My Journey
I’ve embarked on a journey,
of self righteousness and thought.
A trek that must be earned,
not one that can be bought.
I’ve packed my bags with knowledge,
and filled my flask with heart.
With the bravery of a hunter,
with game that must be caught.
This trip will not be easy,
for I’ll face a many fears.
I’ll feed myself with dreams,
and quench my thirst with tears.
I’ll discover many things,
myself being as one.
I’ll pace myself and study,
and resist the urge to run.
Backpacking my soul,
or touring my mind;
oh, the places I’ll go,
with wisdom and time.
