Swimsuit Disaster

Do you ever get worried that your swimsuit may fall off when you’re swimming?

Lake Powell is one of my parents favorite places to go; it is mine. My parents love to go on boating trips; we used to go all the time when I was younger. So I was pretty excited when my friend Victoria invited me to go on a boating trip in Lake Powell with her and her family.

The car ride was long, boring, and tiring. Victoria brought one of her dogs that had gas problems; the stench was unreal and made my stomach ache the whole way there.

When we got there, there was the most beautiful, bright pink sunset just rising over the fire like red rocks, and the glassy water of Lake Powell.

Once we got on the water, we soon found a camping spot, put our tent up, and fell asleep. The next morning, Victoria and I decided we wanted to go cliff jumping, so we all set out to find a good cliff-jumping rock.

We soon found a perfect place: dull red rocks, not too high, smooth on one side to jump of off, and rough on the other so we could climb up. Two very cute boys were there, and Victoria and I were nervous to jump with the guys at first, but the were really sweet and included us right off.

After a while of that, Victoria’s parents wanted to go back to the camp site, so as we climbed back in the boat, i noticed I didn’t have my top on! I was shocked, I could feel my cheeks get red, and sweat start to roll down the sides. Victoria quickly threw me a towel to cover up, but it was too late; the two cute boys were laughing, as was Victoria. Victoria’s parents were in some sort of shock mode. I looked over to the side of the boat to find my swim suit just floating in the water, i hurried and picked it up, and then we were off.

Luckily I will most likely never meet those boys again, and Victoria’s parents? Well, i hope they will forget. I know I never will forget that day.
